Hard money brokering can be a daunting and expensive task if you have if you no experience and are New to Hard Money. As a direct Lender Asset Advocates understands what brokers experience when they submit loans to a lender, we were once brokers ourselves and developed our lending platform to welcome and protect brokers like NO OTHER Lender. We strive to build a network of brokers nationwide and believe in order to continue our growth we have to develop the best brokering program in the industry. For that reason we have developed a Hard Money Brokers Certification to educate and train brokers on what Hard Money really is and also how the lending process works. In doing so we ensure our brokers make more money and also provide a better service to our borrowers.
What is a Hard Money Broker?
A Hard Money broker is an intermediary who brings non-owner occupied residential 1 – 4 unit properties & commercial real estate investor borrowers and hard money institutions together, but does not use their own funds to originate hard money mortgages.
The broker’s essential function is to gather paperwork from these borrowers and oversee the loan and packaging process for submission to the lender for underwriting, approval, and funding. The mortgage funds are then lent in the name of the hard money institution. Upon closing, the hard money broker receives his or her previously negotiated fee as compensation as part of the settlement statement at the time funds are dispersed.
Why Become a Certified Hard Money Broker?
Hard money brokers have the opportunity to work independently, at a very high income potential that promotes both personal and financial freedom. Brokers don’t need sales pitches because there are so many folks in the marketplace looking for funding right now. There is no overhead, no receivables, no refunds, and no losses. This is a service well accepted and revered by borrowers as well as lenders.
As a Certified Hard Money Broker, Asset Advocates performs the underwriting, approval, and the funding – providing you with a direct hard money source. Our program offers 3 levels of certified training: Basic Certification, Senior Broker, and Master Broker options. Each certification level earns different origination fees, respectively.
This means if you can earn more as you become more experienced as a broker. Origination FEE is paid out of closing (loan amount x fee), a basic-level Certified Broker will earn $750.00 on a $100k loan.
